Cut & Clean Lawns had a typical small-business website trap: a heavy WordPress build that looked fine but loaded slowly and wasn't bringing in jobs. We rebuilt it from scratch into a fast, 17-page site engineered for local search and bookings.
"They took the time to understand our business and created a modern, professional website that perfectly represents our brand. The site loads quickly, looks great on mobile, and has already helped us generate more customer inquiries."- Jordan Ciriello, Co-Owner, Cut & Clean Landscaping
Cut & Clean ran an aging WordPress site on the Hello Elementor theme with the Elementor page builder and roughly 20 plugins stacked on top - including four different, overlapping contact-form plugins fighting each other, several builder add-on kits, a slider, a booking plugin, and a cache plugin essentially there to paper over the weight of everything else.
That's the classic small-business trap: it looks okay on the surface but it's slow, bloated, fragile, and a pain to update - and it wasn't doing the one job a landscaping website exists to do: turn local searchers into booked jobs. The branding was generic rather than theirs, and the old copy even carried a "fully insured" claim that wasn't accurate - a real liability, not just a polish issue.
Rather than patch a heavy site, we rebuilt it fresh on a lightweight foundation - no page builder, no plugin sprawl. The plan was simple and outcome-driven:
A modern, fast multipage site built on infrastructure that's easy to maintain, with their real logo, real job photos, and real business details throughout - hours, service area, phone, social links.
Everything below is verifiable in the live site:
We replaced four competing form plugins with a single, clean contact form that emails enquiries straight to the owner. Every page has a click-to-call phone number for mobile visitors, and clear calls to action guide people toward booking a job.
| Area | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | WordPress + Elementor, ~20 plugins | Lightweight static build - no plugins, no bloat |
| Speed | Heavy stack leaning on a cache plugin | 94/100 mobile, 99/100 desktop on Google's test |
| Structure | Generic builder site | 17 real pages - 6 core + 11 service pages |
| Lead capture | 4 overlapping form plugins | One working form, straight to the inbox |
| Trust | A false "fully insured" claim | Honest copy in the owner's own voice |
On Google's own PageSpeed / Lighthouse test, run live on the finished site - the kind of scores most small-business WordPress sites never come close to:
Largest Contentful Paint loads in 2.9s on mobile and 0.8s on desktop, with near-zero layout shift. Live Lighthouse v13 run on cutandcleanlawns.ca, 2026-06-18 - the same engine Google PageSpeed Insights uses.
Cut & Clean went from a heavy, generic, hard-to-update WordPress site to a fast, modern, 17-page site that shows off their real work, makes it obvious how to get in touch, and lays the local-SEO groundwork to climb in local search. In the owner's words, it has "already helped us generate more customer inquiries."
